July My Creative Scrapbook Reveal

Hello,
Happy Independence Day to all my USA followers.  It is going to be a fabulous day here in Missouri tomorrow.  I'm hoping to grab some great photos of the kids celebrating.

My Creative Scrapbook has revealed the July kits early.  You can view all the design team creations at www.mycreativescrapbook.com.

Here are some pics of all the kits:
The Main Kit features Simple Stories.

The Album Kit is filled with lots of goodies including Basic Grey.

The Limited Edition is georgous as always and features Basic Grey.

For all you Project Life junkies - MCS is now offering a new add on kit called Spotlight on Your Life.  You'll want to check it out.

Additional add on kits included the Off the Page kit, Mixed Media, and flower kits.

Lastly, here is my favorite kit, the Creative Kit featuring Little Yellow Bicycle's Poppy Line.

You should definitely check out all the design team layouts using this beautiful kit but I thought I'd share mine with you here.  I used almost every embellishment in this kit and almost all the paper.  Still I could have created at least 3 cards or one more layout with my left overs.

Lastly, here is my two page layout:

Don't forget there is so much more to check out at www.mycreativescrapbook.com

I'll have more updates and close ups coming soon.  I hope you'll check back.  Also, I'd love to hear from you.  Please leave your comments.

My Creative Sketches New Challenge

Hello, Happy Summer!
The heat is taking off here in Missouri.  I'm NOT loving it.  I hate swim suits and skin and sweating.  I've always been a bit self conscious in a swim suit but even worse is shopping for a new LARGER suit.  Who wants to do that????

Anyway, on to a more fun topic..... My Creative Sketches has a new monthly challenge.  Please play along with us.

First, the cool part.... it is a random draw so no matter what your scrappy style is you have a chance to win.  Here is the prize

Here is the new sketch.  You need to post your layout at www.mycreativesketches.blogspot.com by July 14th.  You'll find more details on the blog.

Last up...my take on the sketch....

I made this layout using the My Creative Scrapbook Creative kit for June 2013.  It if full of fun papers by Echo Park.  I have a tutorial on mycreativescrapbook.blogspot.com today with instructions for creating this layout.

I should mention that this is my oldest, Charlie with fellow classmate and friend Sophie.  I took the photo last summer.  I adore pictures of my kids with missing teeth.  And isn't he cute with his cap turned sideways?  And isn't Sophie the most adorable 7 year old ever?

Post your layout based on the sketch here too if you'd like or send me a link to it.  I definitely want to see what you are creating.

Cricut Cartridges for Sale

Good Afternoon,

I've become an avid Silhouette Cameo user in the last year.  I love the machine, the different things I can do with it, and how well it cut.  As a result, I've been slowly selling off my Cricut machines and accessories.  I have a few cartridges left so I thought I'd offer them for sale on my blog.  Each cartridge is $15 + shipping.  If you are interested shoot me an email and we'll work out payment and shipping.  A few of my cartridges were liked to the Gypsy.  They still work but you can't link them to your Gypsy if you have one.  They are all in great condition, in their box, with the keypad and booklet.  Please feel free to email me with any questions as well.

Cartridges:
Sports Mania
My Community
Going Places
Walk in My Garden
Sweet Treats
Stamped
Speaking of Fall
Robotz (new in package)

Today is kit reveal day.... hop on over and check out the kits and the Design team gallery.  www.mycreativescrapbook.com.  I'm designing for the Creative kit (in May I was a guest designer for the Album kit - check it out on the website).

Here are the kits offered this month:
Main kit:

Album kit:

Limited Edition Kit:

and my favorite.... Creative kit featuring Echo Park:

I created and created with this kit until I ran out of time.  Even so, I could have created at least 2 more layouts with this kit.  The embellishments and paper are well worth the cost.  This is the kit I was a subscriber to for years.  It is a great kit to scrap boys with especially little boys.  Check out my creations this month:

two pager:

A couple of fun cards:

Close ups and tutorials to come.

Please share your comments with me.  If you have anything you would like to see from the design team we want to know.  Are you wanting more multiply photo layouts?  How about more two page layouts?  More samples with boys?  More samples in general?  Let me know.  Pam, MCS owner, is wanting your feedback.  She is also hoping you'll give her kit club a try.  I personally guarantee you will love all the goodies you get as a kit club member.  If you decide to give any of the kits a try please let Pam know you were refered by me.  Then once you get your first kit, let me know what you think.  Was it everything you hoped?

April's My Creative Sketches Sketch Challenge

So sorry for the long absence from my blog.  As I said when I started it, this is new to me and I'm still working through the kinks in this.  I'd love to share a few things with you I've been working on in the last two months.

First, a new sketch was just announced at mycreativescrapbook.blogspot.com.  Check it out:

This is my interpretation of the sketch:

This is my son, Charlie a few years ago.  He was a little upset last month that his brothers have both been on the internet and even his cousin has made an appearance but nothing with a picture of him.  I had plans to use a picture of him anyway but this was the perfect photo to use with this months My Creative Scrapbook Creative Kit.

The sketch challenge runs through May 15th.  Here is the prize:
